Refund Policy

Overview
GATE Prep WA sells digital access to online practice content. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). This policy explains cancellations and refunds for:
- Monthly subscriptions — GATE Prep ($29/month) and GATE Premium ($79/month)
- One-off add-ons — AI Writing Review (10 prompts) ($29 AUD)
Cancelling a subscription
- You may cancel at any time by emailing support@gateprepwa.com from the parent account email used at purchase. Include the student name and the email on your account.
- When we process cancellation, your subscription will not renew for the next billing cycle. Access to paid features generally continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Cancelling does not automatically refund the current billing period unless a refund is approved under this policy or required by law.
Refund eligibility
We may offer a full or partial refund at our discretion, or where required by the Australian Consumer Law, in these situations:
- Duplicate charge — you were billed twice for the same product in error.
- Technical failure — a verified platform fault prevented meaningful use of paid features for an extended period and we could not resolve it promptly.
- Accidental purchase — you contact us within 7 days, paid access was barely or not used, and no substantial content was consumed (e.g. no timed drills, mock exams, or AI writing reviews redeemed).
Generally non-refundable
- Subscription fees for periods where paid features were available and used, including after cancellation mid-cycle (unless required by law).
- One-off AI writing credit packs once credits have been applied to the student account, or after AI reviews have been generated.
- Change-of-mind after substantial use of the platform.
How to request a refund
- Email support@gateprepwa.com with subject line "Refund request".
- Include parent account email, student name, date of purchase, and a brief reason.
- We aim to respond within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe. Banks may take 5–10 business days to show the credit.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the services remedied if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit those rights.
